Mishimoto 2018+ Honda Accord 1.5T/2.0T Performance Intercooler (I/C Only) – Black

The Honda Accord is an interesting vehicle, sitting silently in the backdrop amidst performance-oriented Honda models for the better part of 40 years. It wasn’t all beige paint and practical features, though. In the eighties, the Accord received an excellent 2.0L DOHC motor and surprisingly good handling, and in the late 90’s they even stuffed a V6 under the hood with an optional manual gearbox. The tenth-generation Accord brings us something new to be excited about, two turbocharged powerplants with a ton of potential.
Our team went right to work developing products for this chassis, focusing heavily on cooling support. It became apparent the factory intercooler, although well designed, was prone to heat soak and quickly became ineffective once additional power modifications were added. So we set out to create a solution.
The Mishimoto Honda Accord Intercooler features a strategically designed bar-and-plate core mated to robust cast-aluminum end tanks perfected using our in-house flow-bench. Our engineers created a direct bolt-on intercooler solution with a massive core measuring 27.95” X 7.34” X 3.54”. The greater core volume, combined with improved frontal surface area, produced substantial cooling and power benefits. We saw power gains of 13whp/14ft-lbs on a stock 2.0T and 22whp/29ft-lbs with upgraded intake/exhaust and ECU tuning during testing. Even better, we significantly dropped intake temperatures with maximum drops of 28°F. This Mishimoto Honda Accord Intercooler kit is the perfect cooling solution for a stock or modified 1.5T/2.0T. Our intercooler includes a new inlet O-ring to keep boost where it belongs and is available in powder-coated finishes of either silver or black.
